Changing Advertising

Wantsa is a recommendation engine that lives in the social networks that you live in. The best form of advertising are recommendations from people in your close circle that you trust. Wantsa allows users to recommend businesses, services, and organizations that they believe are worthy of their respect.

Imagine doing a search for a plumber on a traditional search engine. You receive results that the search engine believes are most pertinent. With Wantsa, you receive results that your friends believe are most pertinent.

Mobile Strategy

The best form of advertising is also timely and contextual. Smartful Studios is spear-heading Wantsa’s mobile strategy. This involves building a Wantsa application on the iPhone that is location aware. The goal is for users to be able to find businesses and services on their phone while they are on the go.

Third-party iPhone developers will be able to embed the Wantsa Recommendation Engine in their applications.

Stay tuned. This is all that we can announce at the moment. The partnership between Wantsa and Smartful Studios is ongoing and there will be much more to announce in the future.

Launch Party

Wantsa debuted at Launch Party last week here in Vancouver. You can see a video description of how Wantsa works at the Launch Party Website.

I’m On A Boat!

Wantsa also held a boat cruise earlier this week for partners and the media. It was covered by a number of bloggers around the web. You may find pictures at the following links:
